LETTUCE

Lactuca sativa 'Little Gem' is one of the most popular varieties producing compact crunchy lettuces with an excellent flavour. Perfect in salads. Resistant to Root Aphid.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Height: 10cm-20cm

Exposure: Full sun

Harvest: June to October. Maturing time approximately 10-14 weeks from sowing.

Garden Uses: Great for beds & borders, also good for planting in greenhouse, glass house or home. RHS Award of Garden Merit

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

Sowing Outdoors - March-July

Row width: 30cm

Sow seeds thinly 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 30cm apart. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 25cm apart. Ideal for successional sowing. Keep well watered in dry conditions.
