Flowering Period: Summer to early autumn
Position: Full sun, in well-drained soil
Planting Depth & Spacing:

Dahlia: Plant tubers 10-15cm deep and 40-50cm apart after the last frost. Provide support if necessary.
Gladiolus: Plant corms 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in spring. Stagger planting every two weeks for a longer-lasting display.
Freesia: Plant bulbs 5cm deep and 5-10cm apart in well-drained soil. Best grown in pots or sheltered areas for concentrated colour and fragrance.

Height range: 30-120cm
Spread range: 10-50cm

To encourage strong growth and extended flowering, keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged, and feed regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. In colder climates, lift and store dahlia tubers and freesia bulbs over winter to protect them from frost.
