Overview

John Innes No. 3 Mature Plant Compost 35L Bag with 6 Months Feed is designed for established plants that need stronger support, richer nutrition and a more stable growing base. It is ideal for mature plants, shrubs, small trees, climbers, fruit bushes, heavy feeders and long-term container plants.

As plants grow larger, their roots fill the pot and use up available nutrients more quickly. This compost helps refresh the growing environment by providing a rich, structured blend that supports strong roots, steady growth and long-term plant health.

With John Innes No. 3 and 6 months feed, this blend is well suited to plants that need more than standard compost. Its loam-based structure helps anchor larger plants in pots and containers, making it a strong choice for final potting, repotting and plants staying in containers for longer periods.

The blend also helps balance water retention and drainage, holding moisture around the roots while allowing excess water to drain away. This helps reduce the risk of waterlogged roots while keeping plants supported as they continue to grow.

Use Mature Plant Compost with John Innes No. 3 when repotting established plants, refreshing large containers, planting shrubs in pots or giving hungry plants the stronger growing base they need.
