Maris Bard Summer Planting Seed Potatoes -  Ideal boiling potatoes for Christmas

Maris Bard is one of the earliest varieties to mature, making it ideal for summer planting and harvesting in time for Christmas. It produces smooth, white-skinned tubers with firm, tasty white flesh. Excellent for boiling or steaming, and holds its shape well in salads. A reliable cropper with good resistance to common scab.

Soil Preparation
Plant in ground that hasn't been used for onions, garlic, leeks, or shallots for at least two years. Choose open, well-drained soil that hasn't been freshly manured.

Growing in Bags
Second cropping potatoes like Maris Bard grow well in Jamieson Brothers planter bags. Keep the compost moist, not soggy, and protect from early frosts. Ideal for growing indoors or in greenhouses later in the year.

Care Instructions
Water consistently during dry periods. Add a balanced feed if necessary.

Harvesting Instructions
