The much loved traditional small Snowdrops, Galanthus nivalis boasts honey scented nodding flower heads with pure white outer tepals surrounding smaller inner tepals often marked green at the tip. Fine grey-green 10-15cm stems sport strap shaped leaves.
This hardy bulb holds the Award of Garden Merit and will naturalise and multiply when planted in well-drained soil.
PLANTING:
Plant August - December.
Prefers to be planted in partial shade where they will naturalise when planted in well-drained soil, can be grown in containers but should be lifted after the growing season.
Flowers February-March.
CAUTION: Ornamental bulbs are not edible and can be a skin irritant.
