Overview

Yellow Trumpet Daffodils 1.5KG

Yellow trumpet daffodils are excellent for naturalising in your garden or in woodland adding a welcome pop of springtime colour.

Approx. 35-40 bulbs per net

Plant August -December

Plant your daffodil bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards at a depth of about 10cm (4in). Deep planting is important to prevent the bulbs dividing and producing lots of small bulbs which won't flower. Space them about two bulb-widths apart and add a small amount of fertiliser to encourage growth.
The bulbs prefer a free draining soil and will grow well in both sun and shade. They can also be planted anywhere in the garden, though avoid total shade and avoid getting too close to south facing walls as the soil may get too warm. Daffodil bulbs are recommended to be planted on mass to produce amazing displays. They are also great in borders and grass verges. A quick and easy way to plant them is to prise up the soil with a spade and then put them underneath.

The best way to avoid bulbs that don't produce flowers (blind) is to make sure that they are planted deep enough, they are not too close together, the soil is not compacted and they have anough nutrients.

The bulb size is graded 10/14cm, by using the larger size bulb the stems are sturdier and more numerous. This also means that there are more flowers per bulb and they are less likely to flop over.

CAUTION: Ornamental bulbs are not edible and can be a skin irritant.
