Cumcumber - Femspot Seeds Femspot is a high-yielding, all-female greenhouse variety that produces smooth-skinned, bitter-free cucumbers. Because it is all-female, it avoids the pollination issues that can lead to bitter fruit, making it very beginner-friendly. GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow from April to May in pots indoors, as this variety thrives best under glass or in a very warm, sheltered spot. Ensure soil temperatures are consistently 20–25°C for successful germination. Sow seeds 1.5cm deep on their side. Once established, transplant to their final positions (greenhouse or large pots) spaced 45cm apart. This is an all-female variety, so do not remove the male flowers. Provide a trellis or netting for the plants to climb. Keep the soil consistently moist and maintain high humidity by “damping down” greenhouse floors. Harvest when fruits are roughly 20cm long. Frequent harvesting encourages a higher yield.
