Courgette - Green Bush A heavy-cropping, compact variety that produces dark green, glossy fruits without taking up as much space as trailing types. Its reliable performance makes it a staple for home vegetable patches throughout the summer. GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow outdoors from May to June once soil temperatures reach 18–25°C. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with rich, organic soil. These are hungry plants, so adding compost or well-rotted manure beforehand is beneficial. Sow seeds 2cm deep on their edge to prevent rotting. Space plants 90cm apart as they have a wide, spreading habit. Alternatively, start indoors in pots in April for earlier harvests. Water deeply and frequently, especially as fruits begin to form. Apply a high-potash liquid feed every two weeks once the first flowers appear. Harvest regularly when fruits are 10–15cm long to encourage the plant to continue producing throughout the season.
