Iris Reticulata – 20 Bulbs

Iris reticulata is an early spring flowering iris producing vibrant violet-blue blooms marked with golden yellow and white highlights. Compact and low-growing at just 10–15 cm, they bring a burst of colour to borders, pots, and rockeries at a time when little else is in flower.

• When to Plant: September to November.
• Depth & Spacing: Plant 8 cm deep and 5–8 cm apart.
• Position: Full sun or light shade, in well-drained soil.
• Height: 10–15 cm.

Care Advice

Water after planting and during prolonged dry periods in the growing season. Avoid planting in areas prone to waterlogging, as bulbs may rot. After flowering, leave the foliage to die back naturally so the bulbs can store energy for the following year.

What to Expect

In early spring, expect clusters of delicate violet-blue flowers with golden yellow accents, held just above the foliage. Their compact habit makes them ideal for pots, the front of borders, or naturalising in grassy areas.
