Fritillaria imperialis ‘Rubra’ is a striking spring bulb producing bold orange-red, bell-shaped flowers topped with a crown of upright green leaves. Growing to around 90 cm tall, it makes a dramatic feature plant that adds height and an exotic touch to garden borders.

• Depth & Spacing: Plant 20 cm deep and 25–30 cm apart, positioning the bulb on its side to prevent water collecting in the hollow crown.

Care Advice

Water after planting and during dry spells in spring. Avoid overly wet soil to prevent bulb rot. Once flowering is finished, allow the foliage to die back naturally so the bulb can store energy for the following season.
