Overview
English Bluebell Field Grown – 30 Bulbs
English Bluebells are a traditional spring favourite, producing graceful spires of deep violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers. Known for their natural ability to spread, they form stunning drifts in woodlands, shaded gardens, and borders, bringing a true sense of spring to the landscape.
- When to Plant: September to November.
- Depth & Spacing: Plant 10 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart.
- Position: Prefers partial shade, ideal under trees or in woodland-style areas.
- Height: 25–30 cm.
Care Advice
Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering, as this helps replenish the bulbs for the following year. Keep the soil moist in spring but ensure it drains well to prevent waterlogging. Once established, bluebells will naturalise and return year after year with minimal effort.
What to Expect
In mid to late spring, expect clusters of nodding, violet-blue flowers that carpet the ground when planted in groups. Over time, these bulbs will spread naturally, creating beautiful drifts that bring woodland charm to your garden.
